Ketone & Glucose Monitoring
Log blood ketone (mmol/L) and glucose (mg/dL) readings with context tags like Before Coffee, After Meal, or Fasting. Ketorra auto-calculates your GKI (Glucose-Ketone Index), classifies your metabolic zone, and detects dawn phenomenon from morning glucose patterns.
Metabolic Intelligence
A multi-factor Keto Score (0–100) evaluates your daily ketogenic adherence across net carbs, macro ratios, fasting progress, hydration, and ketone data. Track your adaptation journey from Newbie to Metabolic Master. Golden Era tracking rewards sustained optimal GKI, while Efficiency Peak highlights your personal best metabolic state.
Weight & Body Composition
Log weight entries and view trends over time with visual charts. Set goal weights, track progress toward them, and optionally sync with Apple Health for automatic weight import and body composition data.
Exercise Integration
Log workouts manually or import from Apple Health. Track duration, calories burned, and workout type. Exercises performed during a fast earn an activity bonus that accelerates your fasting progress, and your fasting history shows which workouts overlapped with each session.
Beverages & Supplements

Recipes & Shopping Lists
Browse keto recipes with nutrition info, or create your own with custom ingredients and steps. Auto-generate shopping lists from recipe ingredients with smart merging of duplicates. Create multiple lists, pin favorites, and check off items as you shop.

Fasting Circles (optional)
Create or join private fasting groups with friends or family. Members see each other's fasting status in near real time — start time, plan, phase, and streak — via your iCloud account. Invite via a short code; no email or password required. Only fasting status is shared. Your meals, weight, glucose, ketones, and other health data stay private on your device.
Apple Watch & Localization
The Ketorra Watch app lets you control your fasting timer, quick-log beverages, supplements, and ketone readings right from your wrist. Data syncs automatically with your iPhone. Available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is Ketorra?
Ketorra is a comprehensive keto diet and intermittent fasting tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. It helps you log meals, track macros, time your fasts, monitor weight, browse keto recipes, and view your progress over time.
Is Ketorra free?
Yes, Ketorra is free to download and use with no in-app purchases, subscriptions, advertisements, or hidden costs.
Does Ketorra collect my data?
No analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking. Your health data — meals, weight, glucose, ketones, supplements, recipes — is stored locally on your device. The one exception is the optional Fasting Circles feature, which uses your iCloud account to share your fasting status (start time, plan, phase, streak) with members of groups you choose to join. You can read the full breakdown in our Privacy Policy.
What is intermittent fasting?
Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. Ketorra supports popular protocols like 16:8 (16 hours fasting, 8 hours eating), 18:6, 20:4, and OMAD (One Meal A Day), or you can set a custom duration.
How do I start a fast?
Open Ketorra, go to the Dashboard or Track tab, and tap the fasting card. Choose your target duration and tap "Start Fast." The timer will track your progress with a visual ring showing your current fasting phase.
What are fasting phases?
As you fast, your body progresses through six metabolic phases: Fed (0–4 hours) while you're digesting your last meal, Early Fasting (4–12 hours) as blood sugar normalizes and glycogen depletes, Fat Burning (12–16 hours) as your body switches to fat for fuel, Ketosis (16–24 hours) with rising ketone production, Deep Ketosis (24–36 hours) with deeper metabolic adaptation, and Autophagy (36+ hours) when cellular cleanup peaks. Ketorra displays your current phase in real time on a live progress ring.
How do I track macros?
Go to the Keto Diary from the Track tab. Tap "Add Meal" to log food with fat, protein, net carbs, and calories. You'll see daily progress bars showing how close you are to your macro goals.
Can I customize my macro goals?
Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Macro Goals" to set your daily targets for calories, fat, protein, and net carbs.
Does Ketorra work with Apple Health?
Yes, optionally. You can enable Apple Health integration in Settings to sync weight data, import workouts, and write nutrition data to Apple Health. All Health data stays on your device and is never transmitted externally.
Does Ketorra work on Apple Watch?
Yes. The Ketorra Watch app lets you view and control your fasting timer, quick-log beverages, supplements, and ketone readings, see today's summary at a glance, and data syncs automatically with your iPhone.
How do Fasting Circles work?
Open the Track tab and tap Fasting Circles. Tap Create to start a new Circle, choose a display name and avatar, then share the invite code with friends or family. They can join by entering the code in their own copy of Ketorra. Members see each other's live fasting status — start time, plan, current phase, and streak — but nothing else. You can leave any Circle at any time, and the Circle owner can delete it.
What's shared in a Fasting Circle?
Only fasting status: the display name you chose for the Circle, your avatar, whether you're currently fasting, your fast's start time / target / plan / phase, and your current streak. Your meals, weight, glucose, ketones, supplements, recipes, shopping lists, and journal notes are NEVER shared. Fasting Circles uses your iCloud account (CloudKit). See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
Do I have to use Fasting Circles?
No. Fasting Circles is entirely opt-in. The rest of Ketorra works fully without iCloud or any network connection. If you never tap into the Fasting Circles screen, no data is shared anywhere.
How do I log ketone and glucose readings?
Go to the Track tab and select "Ketones & Glucose." Enter your blood ketone level (mmol/L) and/or blood glucose level (mg/dL). Ketorra automatically calculates your GKI (Glucose-Ketone Index) and shows which ketosis zone you're in.
Can I add my own recipes?
Yes. In the Recipes tab, tap the "+" button to create a custom recipe with your own ingredients, steps, and nutrition info. You can also edit existing recipes to adjust servings, macros, or instructions to match your preferences.
How do I export my data?
Go to History, then tap the export button. Ketorra generates a CSV file containing your tracked data that you can save or share.
What languages does Ketorra support?
Ketorra is available in English, Spanish, French, German, and Japanese.
How does exercise tracking work?
Log workouts manually or import them from Apple Health. Ketorra tracks duration, calories burned, and workout type. When you exercise during a fast, you earn an activity bonus that accelerates your fasting progress.
Can I track beverages and supplements?
Yes. Ketorra includes customizable beverage templates (water, coffee, tea, bone broth, and more) and a supplement tracker with dosage schedules. Create your own templates in Settings.
What are achievements?
Ketorra has 34 achievements across 6 categories: fasting milestones, logging streaks, weight goals, recipe exploration, and more. Earn badges as you progress and share your accomplishments.
How do shopping lists work?
Ketorra has a full-featured shopping list system. Create multiple lists, add items manually, or auto-generate from recipe ingredients. When adding from recipes, Ketorra intelligently merges duplicate ingredients and tracks which recipe each item came from. Pin important lists, check off items as you shop, and clear completed items when done.
Can I reuse recent meals for faster logging?
Yes. When adding a meal, tap "Previous Meals" to see your recent entries and most frequently logged foods. Tap any item to pre-fill the form with its macros and details, then adjust as needed. This makes repeat meals take just seconds to log.
Can I browse my full meal, beverage, and supplement history?
Yes. Each tracking section has a dedicated history view. Tap the clock icon in the Keto Diary toolbar to browse all past meals with search, filter by meal type, and aggregate stats. Beverage and supplement histories are also available with their own stats and grouping.
What is the Keto Score?
The Keto Score is a multi-factor daily score (0–100) that measures how well you're staying in ketosis. It evaluates net carbs, caloric macro ratios (based on research from Paoli, Volek & Phinney, and others), fasting progress, hydration, and ketone readings. Each factor is weighted adaptively based on your available data, and you can tap the score to see a full breakdown of each component.
How do I customize my dashboard?
Go to Settings > Dashboard Cards to choose which cards appear on your home screen, drag to reorder them, and toggle individual cards on or off. You can also customize Quick Actions to set up one-tap buttons for your most common logging tasks.
